Austin also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications Management, and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics.  He has spent over eighteen years working in various business positions with such companies as Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., Stone and Webster Engineering Corporation, and The Department of Medical Assistance of Georgia at EDS.  Since 1998, he has worked in the electronics engineering industry as an RF Electronic Test Engineer and EMC/EMI Compliance Engineer/Project Manager respectively for such companies as Scientific-Atlanta, U.S. Technologies, and recently, Advanced Compliance Solutions assisting electrical engineers solve their circuit board and systems issues.  Austin began consulting with entrepreneurs as a hobby, and wrote business and marketing plans for individuals and groups as a means of subsidizing college funding.  He did all of this as a non-traditional student, who worked full-time while satisfying his educational goals.  “People have great ideas for business models, but no time or the practical experience to endure the grueling schedule of writing effective plans.  I enjoy employing my diverse skills to get entrepreneurs from point A to point B, and onward.  They communicate their vision, and like an engineer, I design and develop a roadmap for their success.”After graduating with dual Master’s degrees, Austin expanded his scope of services and established his consulting firm to provide strategic operational management consulting to start-up companies, entrepreneurs, and small business owners to guide them on abandoning ineffective business practices, and adopting more efficient business processes.  TMC’s business consulting expands throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Africa.  It has global reach to exercise its sphere of influence in a business world without boundaries.  We assist international companies with brand creation in the United States, and establishing market presence in their respective industry.  TMC is currently advising companies from various industries such as information technology, human resources, education, entertainment, real estate, engineering, and non-profit organizations. Austin is currently affiliated with the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA), the Project Management Institute of Atlanta, and the Guyana Association of Georgia.  Thompson Management Consulting, LLC will be joining both the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce.
